Faith, Hope, Love House of Ukraine
We are so honored to bring you artwork all the way from Ukraine to be auctioned alongside our local artists. These works are the creations of Ulyana Beley, Lyubov Orobets, Igor Chovpylo and Vasyl Rybaruk – four young people, older orphans with disabilities, who were previously wards of social boarding schools. They now live in the House of Faith, Hope, Love in the small town of Obertin in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Ulyana has arthrogyposis and is unable to use her arm or legs. She creates her artwork by holding a paintbrush in her mouth.
Lyubov has intellectual delays and loves to garden. Much of her vibrant paintings reflect her gardens which she planted and tends to in the House of Faith, Hope and Love.
Igor has visual impairments and cerebral palsy in his lower torso. He enjoys creating each candle as though it were his first.
Yana spent her life growing up in the orphange/institution and took Ulanya under her wings, assisting her in her care. She has intellectual delays and club feet. She enjoys creating little felt pieces.
Funds raised by the auction will go towards their continued care and the expansion of House of Faith, Hope, Love so that they may grow their mission of providing care and comfort to orphans with disabilities, and to eventually improve circumstances for all of their brothers and sisters in state care.
Thank you to Sandie Flannery of Orphan Outreach Ministry for your tireless efforts, and for bringing this beautiful artwork all the way to Carbon County. And thank you so much to Ulyana, Lyubov, Igor, and Yana – we are so excited to exhibit your work!
